Tattoos can be considered the ultimate form of self expression and individuality. A permanent piece of art on one's body commemorating a moment in time and often times reflecting deeply personal stories. This is exactly why we celebrate the connection of an artist and a collector and what they Co:Create together.
For both the heavily tattooed collector and the first timer, Co:Create supports people throughout the entire process. From finding the right artist, choosing a design, collaborating with an artist on custom work, to booking an appointment, Co:Create is there to support. This is evident in the experience of Danielle and her partner Kaustub, whose trip to Toronto turned into a memorable experience with Curt Montgomery.
Kaustub got a provocative design called “Take this Waltz” on his thigh while Danille got “Yoga Kittens” on the back of her arm.
Kaustub's journey with tattoos began several years ago when he was drawn to minimal, fine line designs. In fact, he already had 13 tattoos when he stumbled upon Curt Montgomery's work on Instagram. Curt quickly became one of Kaustub’s favorite tattoo artists. Fast forward to 2023, Kaustub and Danielle booked a trip to Toronto ahead of a work conference.
While scrolling through Instagram, Kaustub came across a post from Curt about purchasing designs via Co:Create and he decided to explore further. A couple of clicks later, he found himself in touch with the Co:Create team who helped him schedule time for his tattoo while he was in Toronto for a work conference.
Danielle had always wanted to get a tattoo but there was always a reason to stall, question, and delay the decision. Then she saw a design from Curt Montgomery that instantly spoke to her – “Yoga Kitten”. Danielle, a long time dancer, is inspired by the shapes a body can make and she loves to do yoga in her room. She also has a 12 year old cat named Minerva who is near and dear to her heart. There have been countless times when Minerva crawls into her room and sits on her yoga mat while she is practicing.
When she saw the Yoga Kitten, she knew this was the design for her. It was finally time to book the session and get the tattoo she had been wanting. The simple process on Co:Create gave her the confidence to book it immediately and commit to the decision.
In the end, Kaustub and Danielle walked away with beautiful new tattoos that they were thrilled with. Kaustub added another piece to his growing collection, showcasing Curt Montgomery's distinct and bold style. For Danielle, her "yoga kitten" tattoo was a perfect representation of her love for her cat and her passion for the moving body.
Kaustub and Danielle’s story not only highlights the effectiveness of Co:Create’s easy booking process and concierge service but also celebrates the art and personal expression that tattoos bring into their lives.
