Jon Gómez is an interdisciplinary artist, tattooer, and educator. He founded Macondo, a private tattoo studio in New York, providing space and guidance for emerging artists to develop their tattoo practice. Gómez incorperates his background in film, video, and analog experimental animation into his tattoo design. This enriches his designs with a gritty textured aesthetic with atmosphere and darkness. All size projects are welcome. Gómez received an MFA in Fine Arts from The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and a BFA in Film/Video from the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles. Jon Gómez was born in Los Angeles, has lived in Mazatlan, Mexico and now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
