About Marek
My name is Marek Pawlik I was born in Silesia, Poland in 1978. Ever since I left school I wanted to be a tattooer, and I always knew I could make that dream come true. At that time, there were no Youtube or even internet searches about how to tattoo, etc, so it was a long path but I was determined to gain the knowledge through any means possible. At first, I began experimenting at home tattooing friends, myself, etc. and in 1998 I opened my own studio, Sauron Tattoo Studio; this was one of the first professional tattoo shops in the area. As time went on, I wanted to gain more experience and expand my knowledge, so I began piercing as a way to further my knowledge of body modification as a whole. I quickly learned that there was a great demand for professional body modification with tattooing and piercing in Poland, and in 1999 I became the exclusive distributor of The Wildcat Collection, widely considered the best body piercing product company. I formed a professional relationship with this company, building trust and value to the point where I still work with them today. In 2000, I began attending tattoo conventions and have had the privilege of winning over 100 awards around the globe for my unique style of tattooing. Though satisfied with the recognition my work has gained over the years, I am constantly traveling the world to work with other artists and brands to share my experience and opinion and gain the same from other professionals in our field. In 2015, I moved to the United States and opened Inkology Tattoo Art Gallery in mid-town Manhattan, NY where I had the pleasure of joining the Intenze Tattoo Ink and H2Ocean ProTeams, some of the most famous tattoo companies internationally. In 2020, we opened Inkology Tattoo Art Gallery in Los Angeles, California and decided to start a new chapter in my life by moving to the West Coast where I am currently based. For me, being a part of the tattoo industry as a studio owner, manager, and artist is not merely work - it is a way of life.
