About DMart
I live and work in New York — one of the best cities in the world for growth, development, and creative collaborations. My main base is Inkology Art Tattoo Gallery in Manhattan, known for its high standards, warm atmosphere, and frequent guest spots by top artists from around the world. I also regularly work at a leading studio in Washington, D.C., where I often go for inspiration. I combine European training with American ambition. I specialize in both black and grey, as well as color tattooing, working in various styles — and developing my own direction, which I named Obscurative. It’s a blend of realism and cinematic techniques, where shadows turn into negatives and the composition is built to guide the viewer’s eye — just like in film. Inspired by videography and cinematography, I bring techniques from film into tattooing: I fill dark areas with negatives, use the psychology of visual focus, and carefully construct lighting accents — as if lighting a scene for a shoot.
